Shipping & Handling Costs: We charge for shipping and handling. It takes time to harvest the perfect plant for your order, clean the foliage, prepare and wrap the plant for packing, and fill out all paperwork for your order. There is a $30 minimum order to have your items shipped. When ordering online, the shipping and handling charge shows up together as one cost at Checkout. We will ship UPS 3-Day Select or FedEx 3-Day or USPO, whichever is the best price. Please indicate your preferred shipping date with a range of acceptable dates for your plants. We offer Next Day Air with an additional fee. Since we ship directly with the above providers, the shipping charge to you is exactly the cost for shipping (we do NOT inflate the cost of shipping). Handling charges do vary depending on the amount of plants in your order.
Remember, the shipping and handling charge shows up together as one cost at Checkout. Substitutions Since we are dealing with living plants, there are instances where there is a change in availability that has not been reflected nor updated on the website. For instance, say you order a plant in the 4" pot, but we have Sold Out of the 4" pots, we will automatically substitute to the next size that is available. If there is a big jump in size or price (example: you ordered 4" but we only have a 3 gallon), we will contact you via e-mail to see which substitute, if any, you would like for us to make. If you only want the size that you indicate on the original order, please write NO SUBSTITUTIONS on the comments portion of the Checkout page, or if you have already checked out and realize later that you do not want to accept substitutions, please e-mail us with your request. When do we ship out orders? Shipping begins early February through Mid November, weather permitting. We ship Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We ship early in the week to minimize stress on your plants. It can be damaging to the plants to be held hostage in a truck or warehouse over a weekend. Also, this means they arrive just in time for the weekend. Be sure to indicate specific dates you would like to receive your order. Otherwise we will make every effort to ship your order within 10 working days of receipt. If the weather is inclement and could hurt the plants, we will delay shipping until it is more conducive. Orders will be filled on first-come, first-served basis. All items in this catalog are available; however, some may be in limited supply or out of season. We do not ship outside of the United States at this time. Please note: we are no longer able to ship to California, Oregon, or Washington. There are additional fees for shipping to the West coast which are too expensive for the small quantity orders that we ship. Shipper Damages: Let us know right away if there are problems with your order. Please notify us within 3 days by phone or in writing. If you receive a damaged box, save all packaging and plants and call us immediately at 706-742-7149. Remember, shippers do not reimburse you for cold damaged plants. If it is cold, make arrangements to have your package protected. To avoid shipping costs, come pick out your plants at our retail nursery
