SELAGINELLA (+varieties)..... Spikemoss
Starting at: $5.00
Spikemoss,
Selaginella spp
., is a primitive plant with unique scale-like foliage that predates ancient dinosaurs! It is so primitive it even predates the development of seeds among plants! Reproducing by spores, they are related to ferns and mosses. These plants are great to use in the ground or in containers or as houseplants. They also do well in terrariums since they enjoy rich, moist soils that are well drained.
PEACOCK MOSS
..... Selaginella unciata ..... Grows 4-6” by 3’. Zone 6-10. One of the most unique varieties! Leaves are finely cut and densely spreading. From certain angles the foliage appears iridescent- from metallic blue to green like a peacock’s feathers. Forms a low growing mat with bronze winter color.
