Hydrangea quercifolia ..... OAK LEAF HYDRANGEA

Starting at: $12.00

Oak Leaf Hydrangea, Hydrangea quercifolia, grows 3’ to 8’. Zone 5-9. A lovely native shrub with large leaves and cones of flower panicles that are white and become tinged with pink as they age. Large oak-shaped leaves mature to a crimson purple in Fall. A plant for all seasons! Unique exfoliating bark on mature stems reveal a rich brown inner bark in winter.
Alice .....Grows 8-10’. Another Mike Dirr selection! A strong growing variety. It has deeply lobed oak-like leaves with a profusion of large white flowers. Crimson foliage in fall.
Amethyst.....Grows 5'-6' tall & wide. A more compact selection that only reaches 6 ft. tall and wide. Creamy white flowers are held upright and as they mature they age to a glowing amethyst. Even as dry flowers they hold that wine-red color. Foliage turns a deep burgundy in Fall as well.
Pee Wee........Grows 3'-4' tall & wide. A more restrained selection than the species, this diminutive beauty is very pest and disease resistant. 4"-5" white flowers fade to pink and are in perfect scale with the smaller leaves and plant. Rose to red/purple fall foliage. (temporarily SOLD OUT)
Sikes Dwarf .......Grows 3-4’. A dwarf Oakleaf Hydrangea! Great for small gardens. Attractive, closely, spaced foliage laced with white flower heads. (temporarily SOLD OUT)
Snow Queen.......Grows 5-7’. An award winner! ‘Snow Queen’ is an improvement on the straight species with blooms that are held upright. Pure white cones of flower panicles in June that fade to pink. Oak-like leathery leaves turn a beautiful burgundy in the fall. (temporarily SOLD OUT)
