Dendranthemum ..... HARDY GARDEN MUM

The controversy continues. The hardy Garden Mum has switched names again. Dendranthemum syn Chrysanthemum syn Korean Mum and back to Chrysanthemum. To keep taxonomists employed and gardeners on their toes, the names must be re-evaluated frequently. While we understand this, we are stubbornly clinging to the previous designation “Dendranthema” to keep it clearly differentiated from the common “Table Mums” so prolific in garden centers every fall. This wonderful collection of late blooming, reliable perennials add accent to any fall garden. These easy to grow, colorful mums thrive in poor soil with good drainage. Shear in July to keep more compact. Divide every 3-4 years. Excellent cut flowers.
