Curry, Helichrysum italicum, has aromatic, culinary, and ornamental uses. Yellow blooms in summer and fall. Grows 24”. Curry is a bushy evergreen sub-shrub with wooly stems and tiny, wooly, silver-gray linear leaves and dark yellow flower heads. Sprigs are added to rice, vegetables, deviled eggs and savory dishes to give a mild curry flavor. (Not the same as the plant used to make curry powder.) Grow this tender perennial in light, well-drained soil in the sun.
