Its whole or ground seeds add character to marinades, salad dressings, cheese, eggs, chile sauce, guacamole and pickling brines. Grow coriander in moderately rich, light, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Likes cooler weather so plant in spring and fall for two crops a year. It is native to the Mediterranean region and southern Europe.
