Bear's Breeches, Acanthus mollis, grows 3'-4' tall by 3'-4' wide. Zones 7-10. Dramatic architectural plants with bold, striking glossy foliage and purple flowers in summer time. Will tolerate most soils, but thrives in deep, fertile, moist, well-drained loam.  Evergreen to 20 degrees F.
